Effective 2026-07-10. The short version: the app collects nothing; buying a license shares your email with us so we can deliver it.

The Gudrun app

• No telemetry, no analytics, no accounts, no network. Gudrun never contacts a server — not even for license checks, which are fully offline by design.
• Scanning reads file and directory metadata (names, paths, sizes, timestamps) of the locations you choose, solely to display them to you. That data never leaves your machine.
• Settings, themes, trial state, and your license file are stored locally (%APPDATA%\Gudrun on Windows, ~/.config/gudrun on Linux) and are yours to delete.

Buying from this site

• Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as merchant of record; their privacy policy governs the payment itself. We never see your card details.
• To issue your license we receive and keep your order number, email address, and the issued license file in our order ledger. That's used to deliver the license and to re-send it from the recovery page — nothing else. We don't sell or share it.
• License emails are sent through Resend, our email provider.
• This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or trackers. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests operationally like any host.

Buying from the Microsoft Store

If you get Gudrun from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft processes the purchase and the trial entirely — we receive no personal information at all.

Your data

Write to support@midnightsoftworks.com to correct or delete your order record. (Deleting it means the self-service license re-download stops working — keep a backup of your gudrun.key first.)
