Gudrun license terms

Effective 2026-07-07. These terms cover the purchased license; the source-availability terms in the Gudrun repository are separate and unaffected.

The license

• A personal license grants one named individual a perpetual, non-transferable right to use Gudrun 1.x on machines they personally use. It is not seat-limited across your own devices.
• Business, organizational, or on-behalf-of-clients use requires a commercial license (contact support@midnightsoftworks.com until the commercial tier launches).
• The license file (gudrun.key) is yours to keep and back up. Do not publish or redistribute it.
• All Gudrun 1.x updates are included. A future 2.0, if any, may be a separate purchase — existing licenses keep working with 1.x forever.

The honest-software part

Gudrun is fully functional without a license; the license removes the trial reminder. There is no online activation and no telemetry. We rely on your honesty for continued development — thank you.

Refunds

Within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked: reply to your receipt email or write to support@midnightsoftworks.com. Refunds are processed by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, back to your original payment method.

Purchases & billing

Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as merchant of record. They handle payment, applicable taxes (VAT/GST/sales tax), invoices, and billing support. Their terms and privacy policy apply to the transaction. We receive your email address and order number to issue your license — nothing else, and we don't share it.

Warranty & liability

Gudrun is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Midnight Softworks is not liable for any damages arising from its use — including data deleted with it; deletion features act on your explicit instruction. Our total liability is limited to the purchase price.
